Grants

Made ready.

The Academy makes grants to organisations that use sport to improve the lives of young people, with a focus on The Bahamas and on partnerships between The Bahamas and the United Kingdom.

What we fund. Work that opens routes from sport into education, skills and employment. Programmes that reach young people across the islands, not only in Nassau. Partnerships that connect Bahamian and British sport, including coaching development in both directions. We ask every grantee to meet high standards of safeguarding and financial governance.

What we do not fund. We fund organisations, not individuals. We do not fund organisations connected to our Founder or trustees, political activity of any kind, or work without a clear benefit to young people.

Evidence. Independent evaluation is built into our grants from the start. We fund what can be shown to work, we measure what we fund, and we publish what we find.

Applying. Our first grant round will open within the Academy's first year. Eligibility criteria, application details and dates will be published on this page. We are not yet accepting applications or expressions of interest.

The Academy is privately funded and is not yet accepting external donations. Details will follow once our donor arrangements are complete.
