The Bahamas-UK Sports Academy launches its website

The Bahamas-UK Sports Academy is an independent Bahamian charity funding organisations that use sport to change young lives. Established with the support of the Government of The Bahamas and the British High Commission, the Academy makes grants across the islands and builds sporting partnerships between The Bahamas and the United Kingdom. Its Patrons are Her Excellency The Most Honourable Dame Cynthia A. Pratt, ON, GCMG, Governor General of The Bahamas, and H.E. Smita Rossetti, British High Commissioner to The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Its founding trustees are Nick Maughan CBE and Andy Cook, with further trustees and an independent Chair to be appointed. The Academy is privately funded, publishes audited accounts, and builds independent evaluation into every grant.
